We believe that no one should have to go through life feeling alone, unworthy, or unloved.
Christina here. I wanted to tell you a bit about my personal story so you would know why I created Teaching the World to Love, H.O.P.E., and all our various brands. My story, like yours, has twists and turns and many unexpected events – all of which contributed to the creation of our brands and add texture to the fabric of our mission, guiding principles and lives.
The short version of how Teaching the World to Love and H.O.P.E. got started, starts with two seeds that were planted in me when I was around five years old.
The first seed was planted on the day my dad told me that my mom and my grandmother didn't love me and that they were embarrassed and ashamed of me because of the color of my skin. My dad's belief in this was real and it was raw and he reinforced his belief often, telling me with compassion and conviction that he wished things were different but there was nothing I could do . . . he would tell me that no matter how hard I tried . . . I could not win the love and acceptance of the two women who were supposed to love and accept me just because I was born.
The second seed was planted, around the same time, when people began to realize that I had this natural ability to take away a person's pain – making them feel better – just by listening to them.
So as my sense of self, love, trust, and worth was being stripped away from me – I was simultaneously being given the gift of taking other people's pain away and making them feel better. As such, I began to identify my worth based on how I made others feel. If I could take their pain away, I felt loveable and thus worthy of being loved. If I could not, I felt ashamed, hurt, alone, afraid – and like I wanted to hide; I lost love.
As a child, when someone refused to change, I felt the burden of continuing to carry their pain – because I didn’t understand that another person’s pain wasn’t mine to carry. And I didn’t have the practical knowledge yet on how to release my attachment to their pain – how to truly serve – so I created unhealthy attachments. Lots of them.
These unhealthy attachments coupled with my lack of love for myself and lack of healthy boundaries, led me to a life of addictions (six of them!), anxiety, escapes, fear, dysfunctional relationships, and pain.
And then when I was 33 years old, I left my marriage with a 10-month old baby in my arms vowing to change my life. I didn’t know what change would look like or feel like, but I knew there had to be “more". I knew I couldn’t have been born with such profound abilities and gifts only to let them wallow in a sea of loneliness, emptiness, fear, isolation, addiction, shame, and despair.
I had to find myself and my light.
I had to find my self-worth and learn how to keep it, even if others didn't see it.
I had to learn how to love myself and learn how to begin treating myself like I was worthy of being loved.
I had to learn how to break my unhealthy cycles, habits, and patterns and retrain my brain to not just live – waking each day to survive – but thrive.
I had to learn how to turn all my pain into my superpower and change the trajectory of my lineage and my life.
I had to learn how to turn all of my darkness into light.
I had to.
And I did just that.
And then I built Teaching the World to Love, H.O.P.E., and all of our subsidiary brands – so that I could teach others how to do the same.
You see, my work is not based on theories and unproven concepts. There is science at play here, spirituality, and lessons from the school of hard knocks.
I'm also extremely focused on "outcomes" in my work, which means I'm not interested in a slow, hypothetical, and meandering path to relief for my students and clients. I'm only interested in a very intentional, practical, tactical, and focused progression that leads to instant relief, meaningful shifts, and permanent, long-term results.
You see, I believe with my entire heart, body, and soul that you deserve to have a resource that doesn't just talk about what change could look like or feel like for you. But, rather, you deserve a resource that has walked the path and will give you the real-life, practical tips, tools, tricks, and strategies that can and will lead you to the self-love, self-worth, and self-confidence you so righteously deserve. And, you deserve a resource who passionately and honorably helps you create the change you want to see; a resource like me.
My hope and prayer is that the methodologies I've developed will help you clear through the clutter and blocks that prevent you from living the life you desire to live. It is my passionate and undying belief that no one should have to go through life feeling alone, unworthy and unloved. And it is my unyielding and everlasting conviction that we all deserve to love deeply, feel joy, and live freely.
I'm thankful that my journey has taught me the lessons I needed to learn so that I may be of the greatest service to you; it is such an honor to serve you.
Thank you for trusting me and thank you for being you.
As we heal ourselves, we heal one another.
With grit, grace, and gratitude . . .
Deeply in love with love,
P.S. A few years before my grandmother passed, she broke her neck in a car accident. After that, her perspective on people of color changed and she started attending an all black Baptist church and became the best friend and sole caretaker of a blind African American man; unfortunately, she died before I had the chance to get to know her. And as for my mom . . . she is my best friend and my biggest cheerleader; I thank God for her every day.

H.O.P.E. Coaching & Healing is our "outcomes-based" healing practice. This means Christina’s not particularly interested in a very slow, hypothetical, and meandering path to relief for her students. But rather, she’s interested in a very intentional, practical, tactical, and focused progression that leads to instant relief, meaningful shifts, and permanent, long-term results for her students.
The end result for students is an awakening unlike anything they’ve experienced before, which includes the ability to feel powerful, free, happy and whole.
Students and clients learn:
the strategies and tools required in order to implement healthy boundaries, self-love, self-worth, self-esteem, self-respect, healthy habits, confidence, etc.
how to cultivate purpose, inspiration, love, creativity, and joy -- from every person, feeling, experience, and ounce of darkness or pain.
how to consciously retrain their brains to create new patterns, habits, and cycles to replace the old, worn-out ones that no longer serve them to hold onto.
how to overcome everything, always, and be 'better off' as a result.
how to turn their pain into their superpower and their darkness into light — shifting their perspectives, their experiences and their lives.
