Creating a Sacred Space for Love
We lead busy lives; lives that take us away from our babies, our loves, our families and our friends — lives that take us away from ourselves.
But there are ways to stay connected — simple, yet meaningful things we can do to place our priority back on what matters: our connections to ourselves and to love.
In my home, my son and I have created a morning ritual for this deep, connection time — we call it our “morning hug” but it’s so much more than that. It’s a time when the clock seems to stop and the only thing that matters is the present moment, our arms wrapped around one another, the sound of our breaths and the beating of our hearts. The hug is deep, intense, purposeful and necessary. It shapes the bond between he and I and creates a sacred space for us to come back to — no matter how much life pulls us away from each other.
Sacred spaces like this can be created in every home and they can be created no matter how distant your connection may feel with your children or your partner right now. You can still create this space – even if for now, you’re the only one entering into it. Create it anyway, without expectations, and watch how the dynamic of your relationships and home begins to change.
On the video below, we dive into this more and talk about how to actually create these sacred spaces for connection and for love.
May you always find a way to create a sacred connection with those you love.
